The deep dish here was so good! We also got the 457 salad, which was very flavorful and fresh. We ordered take out, but I wish we could have are there because it had a really cute pizza parlor vibe with pinball games (1 per game). The only thing that was rough was ordering because they only have their menu posted on social media, which I don’t have. I snapped a quick pic of the updated menu because the other pics posted on here were inaccurate.
This place definitely has a backyard BBQ feel to it. The staff are comfortable and very friendly. They only had outdoor seating under a tent right now so if you're staying, be aware of the weather. The Pizza is great. Their style reminds me of Beau Jo's. The cheesy breadsticks are also popular. I would compare them to Pizza Huts, except you can tell Hogback's ingredients are really fresh. my only issue is that the tables are wobbly and we spilled our drinks several times when another table's dog kept bumping into our table. One time our whole pizza almost fell off. It's was a weird situation because the staff (understandably) didn't want a scene and the other party was just trying to ignore the situation. I love dogs, but for crying out loud, please keep an eye on your pet. Pretty frustrating.

This place was bomb and was the best place for our first night of vaca! We had a calzone and a large pep along with the hog knuckles! Lastly the staff was awesome and super nice/accommodating! Can’t speak high enough!

Very casual atmosphere with a very welcoming team of people ready to create the pizza pie you desire. In the spring and summer, Hogback Pizza offers outdoor dining so you can enjoy a slice in the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains.
During our getaway weekend in Newcastle, we stopped by this cozy pizza spot on our first night—it was conveniently located just across the street from where we were staying. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the unique pizza options on the menu. Honestly, if I lived in Newcastle, I’d make it my mission to try every single one! For my boyfriend’s birthday celebration, we decided to go all out and ordered two different pizzas: the Traditional Neglect and the Fu Manchu. Both were absolutely delicious! The flavors were bold, and the pizzas had that perfect homemade touch. The thin, flat crust reminded me a bit of MOD Pizza but with a more elevated, handcrafted vibe. Even though we were stuffed, the leftovers made for excellent midnight snacks during our stay. Each pizza was around 25, including tip, which felt reasonable for the quality and portion size. The workers were friendly, and the atmosphere of the place added to the experience. It’s a smaller establishment—fitting for a small town—but they made great use of the space with a bar and even a couple of arcade games, which added a fun touch. If you’re in Newcastle and craving pizza, this is the place to go. Highly recommended for a casual, delicious meal in a welcoming setting!
Very chill and laid back place with lots of outdoor space. Loved the use of rubber ducky-like toys as the order identifiers. The cheesy garlic bread, pizza and calzones were delicious!
Any place that has a bar gnome is 5 stars in my book! Had to bring in my traveling gnome for a photo opp. Pizza is epic - lots of unique flavor combinations, plus the classics. The cheesey bread was awesome too, and got a big thumbs-up from the kids. Definitely worth the stop!
